The National School Boards Association (NSBA) in conjunction with the American School Board Journal has selected the GAME OF THE WEEK BCAA Net TV videos as the 2004 MAGNA AWARD Grand Prize Winner. The MAGNA AWARD recognizes school boards that are putting student achievement and community engagement at the center of their work. As the Grand Prize Winner, the School Board of Broward County was recognized at the NSBA annual conference, and received a $5,000 contribution towards student athletic scholarships.
GAME OF THE WEEK is a weekly internet broadcast of a featured high school football game or athletic event that promotes the positive values of athletics, public education and school board member involvement. Action video and interview from teams throughout Broward County are featured on the site. GAME OF THE WEEK can be accessed by going to the Game of the Week link on the menu bar.
