Lockhart Stadium is host to high school, collegiate and professional events. Lockhart Stadium is home to NCAA Division I
Florida Atlantic Fighting Owls. The facility also serves as the county athletic facility for BCAA high school football. Three high schools play their home games at Lockhart Stadium: Dillard High, Stranahan High and Fort Lauderdale High. The stadium also is used to showcase premier high school events including:
• FHSAA High School Soccer Championships, 2003-04 and 2004-05
• BCAA Football All-Star Game
• BCAA Boys and Girls Soccer All-Star Games
• MSAA Soccer Championships
Lockhart Stadium is considered one of the top soccer venues in the nation. The intimate facility brings fans close to all the action. The MLS team Miami Fusion played their home games at Lockhart. Lockhart Stadium has hosted many international friendly
soccer contests involving national teams from Brazil, Haiti, China, USA, Honduras and Mexico.
Lockhart Stadium is a multi-use facility that also hosts non-athletic events. Other events conducted at Lockhart include Cheerleading Competitions, Battle of the Bands and Sunrise Easter Services.
