BCAA Football Combine kicks off spring

With the official start of spring football across the state oif Florida slated to begin on May 1, the Broward County Athletic Association is giving programs an opportunity to get a jump on that date with its annual combine.

The event, which provides football combine results to the players who will use the numbers to improve on, is also the start of a month when teams across the area will look at what needs to be improved and worked on this summer as teams set out and attend camps, 7-on-7 events and other football-related activities.

Beginning on Monday, Apr. 19 and ending Wednesday, Apr. 21, teams will head to Lockhart Stadium for the combine that will test speed, strength and agility.

While there are so many event that are available to football players from January to July, this is an event that is free for the players and prepares them for the month of May.

I am a huge advocate of events that help the athletes gain an edge, and this is certainly one of many things that the BCAA opens up to their member schools.
